3PATAS (Carla Neila, Isabel Gonzlez and Santiago Hermosn) is an inventive product design studio based in Barcelona, Spain. They recently collaborated with Spanish design brand Francesc Ros on a project called 3×3.

3×3 is a set of tables that, when combined, form a pleasant little family. In keeping with the research of 3PATAS talking with users, they found that city dwellers were searching for multi-functional furniture that didn’t take in an excessive amount of space, yet was attractive enough for his or her distinctive tastes.Whether used for entertaining or simply hanging out and watching TV, these tables can accommodate any task.

The main table features two smaller, built-in tables which might be removed and used for other activities. Meanwhile, to fill within the holes, the designers created bowls which might be used for fruit, toys, or perhaps as an ice bucket.

Citriodora House was designed by Seeley Architects and is found near Great Ocean Road in Anglesea, Australia. Integrated within lush Lemon scented gums, the residence gets its name from the botanical term used to define these beautiful trees. Here’s an excerpt from the architects’ official project description: “Inspired by the affects of the coastal winds, the shape of the roof gently rolls, mimicking the form of the wind pruned coastal vegetation. There’s both simplicity and complexity on this building with large negative spaces offering views to the sky, battened screens proving visual privacy to the neighbours and two massive concrete walls forming a prehistoric spine in the course of the middle. A thermal heat soak for the inside that mediates the diurnal temperature variations in the house. The layout of the home is centered around a raised east facing living platform capturing coastal views and connections into the treetops. It’s resembling an adult’s tree house“.
