Skim Milk: Ina No Ie by Horibe Naoko
Ina No Ie is a 3-story steel structure designed by Japanese-based architect Horibe Naoko. The primary floor consists of the work space area, and the second one and third floors make up the residential spaces. The horizontally joined steel facade closely resembles the nearby buildings, and seamlessly amalgamates the 3-volume residence.
Located in Osaka, Japan, Ina No Ie is residence with a writer’s studio inbuilt specifically for the clients. The windows are put on various heights inside the building to obfuscate the real volume of the house. Halfway up the third floor is a balcony that overlooks the scenery and neighborhood.
The asymmetry of the windows is a fascinating look, and provides the building a little bit an abstract appearance. The facade has nothing but rectilinear geometry, which makes the house seemingly unassuming at the outside, and surprisingly spacious at the inside.

Hosting charging stations at IKEA locations known for regional draws furthers our commitment to a smaller carbon footprint and technological opportunities that help protect the environment. By strategically choosing these locations, IKEA hopes to increase their client base and the pilot project will run until the top of 2012.
